How to Play CHOP!
After forming a circle, the leader yells: “Hop!”
Everyone jumps once in any random direction as far as they can. After this first jump, the players should be spread out. Next, establish the turn order… who will go first, and then who will go after them, and so on until everyone is a part of the order.
During a turn, a player gets to hop one time in any direction. The objective is to hop close enough to another player so you can tag them with your hand, while staying away from the other players who will be able to tag you on their turn.
If a player successfully tags someone, the tagged player is OUT and must sit down. The game continues until only one player remains. Keep in mind that even when players are eliminated, the original turn order stays the same.
The Twist
If you want an extra layer of chaos, allow eliminated players to continue participating from the ground.
If a seated player can reach out a tag an active player, that active player is OUT! If you use this rule, establish that seated players cannot immediately tag back the player who just eliminated them.
